On July 13, 2016 Space Awareness was presented at the III International Meeting "Casa das Ciências" (House of Sciences) in Porto, Portugal. The project aroused much interest within all people present. Sara Anjos, a member of NUCLIO (partner of the project) introduced the objectives, main topics, resources, MOOCs, educational kits and partners involved in Space Awareness, highlighting the main goal - to "Inspire a new generation of Space Explorers".
Following what happened during I and II meetings, the main theme of the third meeting "Casa das Ciências" was "Science Education for Knowledge society", focusing on the learning of science and the use of technology as a support to improve the learning process. More than 550 school teachers from primary and secondary levels attended this gathering.
During three whole days there were panels, plenary sessions and workshops that are geared to predetermined areas, either by group or by level of education.
"Casa das Ciências" (House of Sciences) is a collaborative-based portal that collects, validates and disseminates digital materials to serve the science teachers of different educational levels. All materials are available under Creative Commons and directly accessible without any cost to the user.
