The annual countrywide teacher training invites STEM teachers from all over Germany to participate in a three-days endeavour to learn
about the latest progress in astronomy and ways to include it in school by hands-on experiments and other activities. It is already good tradition that the mornings of the course are reserved for talks given by active scientists who tailor their presentations to the needs and interests of the teachers participating. The afternoons are filled with hands-on workshops and reports on school projects.
This year, we will hear about the Anthropocene, ExoMars, molecules in space, satellite navigation with Galileo and Earth observation with Copernicus.
10 to 12 November 2016
