Meet Eline Conijn

Trainee Engineer

Mini-profile:

Eline Conijn is currently a system engineer at OHB in Munich, Germany for one of the instruments on board of the newest weather prediction satellite, the Meteosat Third Generation. Before that (when the interview took place) she was a young graduate trainee in the future missions for Earth Observation department at the European Space Agency (ESA), where she was looking into new technologies to be flown on future earth observing satellites.

Already since she was young, she was interested in space and thus a bachelor in Aerospace Engineering at the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands was obtained. As she also is interested in exploring the world, she has done the Erasmus Mundus master in Space Science and Technology, in short the SpaceMaster. This master gave her the opportunity to study in three different European countries with classmates from all over the world. To finish this master she has done a masterthesis in India with one of the first Indian space start-ups called Dhruva Space. As you can never learn enough, she also pursued a second (advanced) master in system engineering at ISAE-Supaero in Toulouse, France.

It will probably not come as a surprise that besides being passionate about space and engineering, she also enjoys travelling and meeting new people. Furthermore she likes rowing and photography.
