What is Milkyway@Home ?
Milkyway@Home uses volunteered computing resources and creates a highly accurate three-dimensional model of the Milky Way galaxy. These models tells us how the Milky Way galaxy was formed and how tidal tails develop when galaxies merge. This project enables research in both astroinformatics and computer science.
