Mini-profile:
Bryan de Goeij graduated at TU Delft, Faculty of Aerospace Engineering. Now he works at TNO as a senior space systems engineer with a drive for developing cutting edge opto-mechnical space systems. His past responsibilities include the development of the Fine Sun Sensors that allow the ESA GAIA satellite to determine it orientation during its mission to chart a three-dimensional map of our Galaxy. Presently he is the lead systems engineer for the development of instruments for ESA's satellites. These Earth Observation instruments are addressing issues like global climate change and air quality and as such contribute to society and science.
In his personal life Bryan likes to train as a CrossFit athlete, which complements the challenging mental work at TNO with intense physical training.
